One officer, who was in a boiler suit, was inspecting a vehicle of interest, reported Stuff.
Upper Harbour MP Cameron Brewer told the Herald the police had told him their enquiries are continuing into the motivation and nature of this alarming incident in what is a very family-oriented suburb.
“Memorial Lane Drive is an unlikely place for the discharge of firearms as it’s a very central and visible street just off Hobsonville Rd that feeds into the Hobsonville Bowling Club, Woolworths, and a children’s playground and cricket pitch.
“Police now want anyone with information, or local witnesses, to come forward to help with their investigation. Likewise, worried locals are equally keen to find out more details, which rest-assured will be released once they’re confirmed,” Brewer said.
