Two people have been injured in a head-on collision near Waitomo.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to transport two injured people to Waikato Hospital.
An Auckland woman, who was the sole occupant in one of the cars, suffered a hip injury. A man in the other car was taken away with chest injuries.
The crash happened on Speedies Road at Te Anga, west of Waitomo, about 10.30am.
