Two people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into a power pole on Auckland's North Shore early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Sunset Road, in Rosedale about 2.30am.
Fire northern communications shift inspector Jaron Phillips said following the crash one person remained trapped in the car.
"We then used rescue equipment to free the passenger," he said.
Mr Phillips said fire services also helped police in conducting a crash investigation.
