KEY POINTS:
A man managed to call emergency services for help after being stabbed in the eye in the west Auckland suburb of Henderson last night.
The 30-year-old victim was taken Auckland Hospital where he was in a serious condition this morning.
Another man was due to appear in Waitakere District Court today in relation to the stabbing.
In a second unrelated knife attack in west Auckland, a man was badly hurt when he was stabbed in the back and buttocks.
He was initially critically ill in hospital but his condition stabilised.
