Two youths are in Hamilton police cells after an overnight ramraid on a suburban superette.
A stolen red Mazda was driven through the front of Maeroa Superette, in Hamilton West, about 3am and a quantity of cigarettes was taken, said Sergeant Charles Burgess.
It was believed two other stolen cars were involved in the raid, one of which - a silver Nissan Skyline - was spotted and pursued.
The three occupants abandoned the car in nearby suburban Nawton and fled.
A dog handler tracked down two of them - a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old.
