Two hurt in motorbike and truck collision

Two people are seriously injured after a motorbike and a logging truck collided in Northland this morning.

Police were called out to the crash, about 500 metres south of Puketona Junction on SH10, at 9.35am.

The motorcycle rider and a passenger are both in serious conditions. The truck driver was shaken but not injured.

Police's Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.

Traffic has been diverted to Te Ahu Ahu Rd into Old Bay Rd and right into Waikaramu Rd to SH1.
