Two people have been taken to hospital after a multi-car crash north of Hamilton.
The crash occurred on Gordonton Rd about 200 metres north of Zealong tea gardens about 8:30am. A section of the road is currently closed.
One person was taken to Waikato Hospital in serious condition and another person was taken in moderate condition, a St John Ambulance spokeswoman said.
Northern Fire Service spokesman Eric Smith understood about four vehicles were involved in the crash.
No one was trapped but Fire Service assisted St John staff in getting one person out of a vehicle.
