KEY POINTS:
Attorney-General Michael Cullen has announced the appointment of two High Court judges.
They are Peter Woodhouse QC and Ailsa Duffy QC.
Justice Woodhouse graduated from Auckland University and joined the law firm Glaister Ennor & Kiff, becoming a partner in 1976. He joined the independent bar in 1993 was appointed a QC in 2002.
Justice Duffy also graduated from Auckland University. She practised as a barrister from 1980 to 1988 when she joined the Crown Law Office.
She returned to the independent bar in 1996 and was appointed a QC in 1998.
