Two earthquakes struck Hawke's Bay early this morning about five minutes apart and around the same location as a quake on Monday night near Havelock North.
GNS Science said the first quake, measuring 3.9, struck at 1:20am and was located 40 km east of Havelock North at a depth of 20 km.
The second quake measuring magnitude 3.8 struck at 1:26am and was located 30 km east of Havelock North at a depth of 30km, which is the same location as a magnitude 3.2 quake on Monday night.
