Two die after separate accidents in North Island

Two people are dead after car accidents in different parts of the upper half of the North Island today.

A woman passenger died after a car crashed into a tidal drain at Ruawai in Northland about 2.30am today.

Two others were taken to hospital for treatment.

In Enderley, Hamilton, a person died when a car and truck collided at a roundabout early today.

No other details of either accident were available.
