Two people have been killed after activating a panic alarm in South Auckland this afternoon.
Counties Manukau police Detective Inspector Dave Lynch said the incident occurred around 1.10pm after police were called to an address in Great South Road in Takanini following the panic alarm activation.
When police arrived at the scene two people were found dead.
Due to the nature of their injuries a homicide investigation was now underway, Mr Lynch said.
Great South Road between Taka St and Glenora Rd would remain closed until further noticed while a scene examination took place.
