Two dead in Auckland suburb crash

Two people are dead after a single-vehicle crash in the Auckland suburb of Mt Albert.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Mt Albert Road about 12.30am.

Police said the vehicle had crashed into a traffic light pole and its occupants, in their mid-20s, died at the scene.

The police serious crash unit is investigating.
