Two people are critically injured after a car crashed into a bank and flipped in a BP service station carpark on State Highway Two north of Wellington.
A north-bound van rolled and left the road, a police spokesman said. Another person has serious injuries, and two children have moderate injuries. They have all been airlifted to Wellington hospital.
The van was the only vehicle involved in the crash, and it was too early to determine what caused it to leave the road.
