KEY POINTS:
Two people were badly hurt when their car smashed into a garage in the Auckland suburb of Henderson in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesman from Henderson police said the car lost control as it was being driven around a roundabout at the intersection of Palamino and Sturgess Roads at about 1.30am.
The car crossed on to the wrong side of the road, hit a tree and then crashed into a residential garage.
No one inside the house was hurt, the spokesman said.
The two occupants were taken to hospital and are reported to be in a critical condition.
