Two crashes delay Wellington commuter traffic at Newlands and Petone

Commuter traffic is at a stand-still after two crashes on main routes into Wellington.

One crash is blocking the southbound lane just after the Newlands onramp on State Highway 1.

New Zealand Transport Agency cameras show traffic backed up.

And on SH2, at Petone, a crash was blocking the right lane. It has now been moved onto the shoulder.

NZTA told motorists to expect delays.
