Two men have been charged after a man was shot in the face while out duck shooting earlier this month.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the face while shooting with friends at a private dam on a rural property just out of Waipukurau, Hawke's Bay, on May 2.
The man has permanent loss of vision in his right eye.
Two men, aged 21 and 22, had been charged with careless use of a firearm causing injury, Hastings police Detective Constable Sally Patrick said.
They were to appear in Waipukurau District Court today.
