Two cars have collided at a Wairarapa intersection today, closing the road.
The crash happened at the intersection of Wiltons Rd and State Highway Two at west Taratahi, between Masterton and Carterton, shortly before midday.
Police said the road was closed and diversions were in place, although they would be removed shortly.
Emergency services at the scene were waiting for tow-trucks to remove the vehicles.
Two people were injured and were both in a stable condition, police said. The police serious crash unit had been called in but was subsequently stood down.
