KEY POINTS:
Two more homes on Auckland's North Shore affected by slips at the beginning of August have been permanently vacated by their owners.
The two properties in Mulberry Place, Glenfield, have been vacated following the slips, which happened after heavy rain.
Their abandonment comes more than a month after a property on Lingham Cres, Torbay, was condemned.
North Shore District Council incident manager Paul O'Brien said the Earthquake Commission and insurers were likely to be talking to the owners of the Mulberry Place properties about compensation packages.
Mr O'Brien was unsure what had happened with three other properties under threat, one in Morice Place, Torbay and two on Albany Highway, though he thought one of the Albany Highway property owners had re-occupied their home.
Earthquake Commission insurance manager Lance Dixon said negotiations with property owners regarding compensation were continuing.
