KEY POINTS:
Two men armed with a sawn off shotgun have been seen running from the Meadowbank ASB in Auckland, according to reports made to police this afternoon.
Inspector Ian Brooker said police were told that the men drove off in a "greeny" coloured Peugeot car at about 1.30pm.
He said a car matching the description was found a short time later, near the intersection of Grand Drive and Abbots Way.
Mr Brooker said twenty minutes later there was a report of a man running from the ASB Bank on Bairds Rd in Otara.
He said the man reportedly handed a note to the tellers demanding money.
Mr Brooker said the two robberies are not thought to be related.
