Police have arrested two men over a violent armed home invasion in Masterton on Tuesday.
Three armed men burst into a Church Street home and bashed a man, in what police said was one of two beatings in the town that night.
The two men, thought to have gang connections,
will appear in Masterton District Court today charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent.
A short time after the home invasion bashing, a man was beaten up outside a nearby Colombo Road house, sparking an armed offenders squad callout.
A 38-year-old Masterton man and a 23-year-old from Carterton were arrested after police raided two houses in Carterton today.
