Two Upper Hutt men accused of murder have been remanded in custody until May 6.
The men, aged 41 and 28, appeared in Upper Hutt District Court today charged with murdering a 64-year-old man in Upper Hutt yesterday.
The victim's name has been suppressed until May 6 so family could be advised, police said.
He was found dead in his flat in Totara Park Rd in Upper Hutt about 3.40pm after police received calls about a disturbance.
Police and fire service staff performed CPR on the man, but he died at the scene.
Police have appealed for information about two males and a female seen near Totara Park Road and Fergusson Drive, and also Henry Street, around 3pm yesterday.
