Time once again to catch up on events at the Featherston Golf Club course.
Club championships are well on the way and into the semis for both men and women, plus normal club days, in and around this beautiful weather we are enduring. Come on, summer!
Men's senior champ Owen Lloyd won over Brian Russo on the final hole. Kirk Collins had a close win over Allen Bennett.
Men's intermediate champ Dave De Joux won from Bill Seymour, Charlie Priestley won over Darryl Diamond, Eru Kaiwai had a win over Alex Walters, and Jeff Saunders won from Brent Leader.
Men's junior A champ Eddie Brown won from Ron Langford, Patrick Melaugh won over Doug Parson's, and Ray Weighell had a win over Tony Taylor.
Normal club day was a stableford event, first place going to Allen Bennett on 43 points, second Norm Ellis 42, and equal-third Charlie Priestley/ Brian Russo, both 41 points.
Women's winner of the day went to Julie Murray, who also won her club champs match from Sally Fairbrother.
From the Saturday before match results, the event was a medal round and the winner was Brent Leader 70, second was Allen Bennett. Bennett scored a two and Norm Ellis was closest to the pin on the ninth hole.

DATES TO REMEMBER: This Sunday is daylight saving time again, so Twilight golf will start again on Wednesday, October 6. The women will be holding their big tournament at the course on Thursday, October 14, that being Featherston Women's Mixed Foursomes.
