For Auckland-based fans of Twenty-seven Names, some good news: the label will open a boutique on Ponsonby Rd on April 5, making their full collections available in the city for the first time. This follows the opening of their first boutique, in Wellington, last year.
For winter, designers Anjali Stewart and Rachel Easting looked to the work of surrealist Belgian artist Rene Magritte, with marching hat motifs referencing his famous bowler and speech bubbles proclaiming "Je Suis Perdu" (I'm Lost) touching on his 1926 painting The Lost Jockey. Other pieces look to his wife Georgette, like this dramatic full-length flared coat - one of our picks of the season.
