Eight people have been taken to Hawkes Bay public hospital after three carriages of a minature train derailed at the Keirunga Park railway, east of Havelock North.
Twenty-five people were injured in the derailment, which occurred at midday today.
There is no information about the ages, gender or the extent of the injuries of those taken to hospital.
