Twelve arrested for refusing to own up to vandalism

Twelve men aged between 18 and 20 were arrested and charged with wilful damage after none of the group would own up to pushing over a softdrink- vending machine in Whangarei.

Police pulled up a van carrying the men after being alerted to the incident by a member of the public.

No one would own up to the offence and all 12 were charged with wilful damage.
