Television New Zealand is to announce its new chief executive this afternoon, ending months of speculation.
Former chief executive Ian Fraser quit his $600,000-a-year job on October 30, saying he had lost confidence in a politically-appointed board that was interfering in the state broadcaster's day-to-day operations.
Mr Fraser later said he was not alleging there had been interference in the editorial content of TVNZ news.
