TVNZ yesterday released the script of a survey question which has become the centre of court action by a political candidate.
Te Tai Tokerau independent candidate Mere Mangu has claimed in papers filed in the High Court at Auckland that the poll question disadvantaged her election chances.
She claimed that for the electorate vote, respondents were asked which party candidate they would vote for.
The script issued by TVNZ said: "Now thinking about your other vote, the electorate vote for your local MP in the Te Tai Tokerau electorate, when you choose your local MP, which party, if any, is this candidate likely to come from?"
The poll was by Colmar Brunton.
