KEY POINTS:
TVNZ has decided to can the political current affairs programme Agenda, its producer said today.
Agenda is broadcast by TV One on Sunday mornings, featuring political leaders and commentators discussing the latest news and developments.
It regularly presented senior ministers and party leaders, and was highly regarded by politicians and commentators.
Agenda was produced under contract by the company Front Page Ltd.
The company's executive producer, Richard Harman, issued a brief statement saying TVNZ's head of news and current affairs, Anthony Flannery, had written to him saying the contract was being terminated on December 7 and it would not be renewed next year.
