A 16-year-old youth accused of attacking a 5-year-old girl as she slept in a caravan in a Turangi holiday park has indicated he will plead guilty.
The youth, who has name suppression, indicated his intent when he reappeared in court in Taupo today.
He is charged with sexual violation by rape, burglary and causing grievous bodily harm.
The boy's mother read in court a prayer written by him in which he asked God to forgive him.
The youth has been sent to a Youth Justice facility until his next court appearance on January 18.
