ULTIMATE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS NZ
What started as a giveaway by Guinness Brewery back in the 1950s to help solve some of those ridiculous pub arguments has turned into a media phenomenon.
The Guinness Book of Records was an instant hit and became a perennially popular Christmas stocking filler, and when the franchise decided to make television shows about record attempts those went down a treat with audiences as well.
Host for hire Clarke Gayford presents this show, which is made up of clips of record attempts, interviews and a look behind the scenes at the Guinness World Records franchise. The clips are drawn from shows the franchise runs in Germany, France, Australia, Sweden, Japan, Finland and Spain.
You'll not only wince but also wonder why people would want to cover their faces in clothes pegs, balance fridges on their teeth or attempt high-speed sausage swallowing.
