Police have released the name of a truck driver who died in a collision with a passenger train in north Waikato yesterday morning.
Cory James Clements, 28, of Hamilton, died when his truck and the Northern Explorer collided near Ringiriri.
Inspector Freda Grace said the crash was the subject of a number of investigations and it would be several weeks before they were completed.
"This incident was a tragedy not only for the man's family, who police wish to extend their condolences to, but also work colleagues working close by," she said.
