Truck wedged under Petone bridge

A large truck carrying concrete slabs became wedged under the Petone overbridge north of Wellington today.

The truck was freed but blocked one northbound lane of State Highway 2 for about an hour from 1.40pm, central police communications Sergeant Bruce Mckay said.
