A truck and trailer unit has rolled on State Highway One just south of the Waiouru Army Base this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 12.45am, where the fully loaded truck and trailer is blocking the road in both directions.
Police said the driver, who was initially reported to be trapped in the vehicle has been freed and has been transported to Whanganui Hospital by ambulance.
Diversions are in place as equipment is removing the vehicle and its cargo.
