A trailer of a truck has tipped south of Dannevirke this morning.
The crash had partially blocked the Hawke's Bay-bound lane of State Highway 2 at Maharahara, just north of Woodville township, shortly before 5.50am, police said.
Emergency services were at the scene, and were awaiting the arrival of a heavy haulage crane to lift the trailer.
The highway would be blocked for a period when the crane arrives, police said.
It follows an earlier crash in which an articulated truck jack-knifed on SH2 at Waihi around 3.30am.
