Truck rolls, blocking Auckland road

A truck rolled on Auckland's South-Eastern Arterial between Penrose Road and Church Street this afternoon disrupting traffic.

Westbound lanes were blocked and traffic was being diverted. A heavy crane was required to clear the scene.

Police had said this was likely to take several hours but announced the road was clear at 2.15pm.

Inspector Ian Brooker said: "As this is the main heavy transport route to Penrose and Onehunga from the motorway, considerable congestion has resulted."
