KEY POINTS:
A truck stuck at the side of the road on State Highway One yesterday caused lengthy delays. It had become stuck about 8.55pm on the northern side of the Waiwera hill and one lane was blocked.
Police directed traffic but motorists were asked to avoid the area as the buildup stretched to about 4km. Contractors removed the truck about 10.10pm.
