A truck driver has two broken legs after two truck-and-trailer units crashed head-on in the Waikato early today.
Firefighters worked for more than an hour to free the drivers who were trapped in their vehicles at the intersection of Albert St and Queen St in Cambridge, southeast of Hamilton, about 2.15am.
The other driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A passenger in each truck - a seven-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man - suffered minor injuries.
Police say a Fastway Courier truck was heading north and a Courier Post truck was heading south.
