A Ruatoki man charged with driving into the back of a school bus, injuring 35 children, made a brief appearance in court today.
Joe Nika Morehu, 42, appeared before a magistrate in the Whakatane District Court today on 18 charges relating to the September 5 crash and a drink driving charge relating to a separate incident. No pleas were entered.
His lawyer Miharo Armstrong said he was waiting on an independent crash analysis report and indicated Morehu would enter a plea at this next court appearance on April 24.
