A commercial truck driver was pulled over in Stratford, Taranaki, this morning at about 6.30am.
The driver was breath-tested at the scene, and returned a result of 334mcg of alcohol per litre of breath. The legal alcohol limit is 250mcg.
A police spokesperson confirms the man was then forbidden to drive by police.
The truck was pulled over on State Highway 3 at the north end of Stratford near the Caltex service station. The police spokesperson says the man's employer was notified and collected the truck from Stratford a short time after.
