A readymixed concrete truck overturned in the Auckland suburb of Avondale this afternoon, spilling wet concrete onto the road.
The accident happened at about 3.20pm at the intersection of Rosebank Road and Ash Street in Avondale.
The concrete mixing drum detached from the truck during the accident, spilling wet concrete into the street and blocking one lane.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Police said it would take some time to clear the road and asked motorists to avoid the area, or to show caution and patience if forced to travel through the affected stretch of road.
