Traffic has been brought to a standstill on Auckland's Southern Motorway after a crash involving two trucks.
The north-bound side of the motorway is completely blocked between Takanini and Papakura.
Police say a diversion will be in place soon but motorists are advised to avoid the area and get off the motorway well before the blockage and find alternate routes before re-entering the motorway from Papakura onwards.
It is understood one of the trucks has jack-knifed and that some cars may also be involved. It is not yet known if there are any injuries.
