Truck and trailer unit rolls on Desert Road, no injuries

Drivers on the Desert Road had their travel plans disrupted for several hours after a truck and trailer unit rolled this morning.

Police Central Communications said the accident on State Highway One happened at the first 65km/h corner sign just north of the summit, near Waiouru.

There were no reported injuries, he said.

The South bound lane was blocked while emergency services worked to remove the vehicle.
