A truck and trailer unit that rolled near Rotorua this morning has been righted but the road is expected to be closed for some time.
Its driver escaped injury when the vehicle went over a bank near to the intersection of Hamurana and Central Rds.
Rotorua Daily Post photographer Stephen Parker is at the scene and said the truck had been travelling towards Tauranga carrying timber.
He said he had been told by police that the road would be closed for some time as they cleared it.
Motorists have been urged to stay away from the area if possible.
