A refrigerated truck and trailer carrying meat and vegetables has rolled in south Otago, blocking State Highway 1.
The crash happened just after 4am, about 15km south of Balclutha, police said.
The road was likely to be blocked for "several hours" while the food was being removed and diversions have been put in place.
