A man is dead and a woman has serious injuries after a collision between a truck and a campervan south of Levin today.
Police were called to the intersection of State Highway One and Kimberley Road at about 1.10pm.
They say an articulated truck with semi trailer and a mobile home collided in the south-bound lane of State Highway One.
The male occupant of the mobile home was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was freed from the wreckage by emergency services and was taken to Palmerston North hospital. Tonight she is in a serious but stable condition. The driver of the truck was shaken but unhurt.
