KEY POINTS:
New Zealand troops returning home from a six-month stint in Afghanistan had a 90-minute wait yesterday before being re-united with families at Ohakea Air Force Base.
The work of the troops was tarnished when six personnel were sent home early on suspicion of using the Class B drug hashish.
Defence Force official Captain Zac Prendergast said nothing should be read into the use of sniffer dogs at Ohakea as the troops disembarked.
