It's two months since a Whanganui triplet died from a "non accidental head injury" and police are still looking into her death.
Two-month-old Hinekawa Topia died on January 12 and her death is being treated as a homicide.
Detective Senior Sergeant Neil Forlong said eight officers were investigating Hinekawa's death, down from 20 at the start of the inquiry.
"We are waiting for reports from medical experts and practitioners and we are still continuing with other enquiries," he said.
Hinekawa's parents, Tiffany Topia and Tom McGregor, had driven her to Wanganui Hospital about 1pm. She had stopped breathing and attempts by her father and hospital staff to resuscitate her failed.
