A man accused of a triple shooting in Palmerston North last week was remanded in custody when he appeared in Palmerston North District Court yesterday.
Rheon St Clair Albert, 27, faced three charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Three people were shot in the suburb of Highbury about 1am on August 7.
A 33-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman from Palmerston North suffered moderate to serious injuries, while a 20-year-old Hawkes Bay woman received minor shotgun pellet injuries.
The Manawatu Standard reported that after loudly demanding the media be "removed from the court" yesterday, Albert was remanded until August 24.
There was no application for bail.
