Three of the top exponents in the blues music scene will be guest artists for the Cross Creek Blues Club this week. Dave Murphy and Dougal Speir are popular musicians who perform about once a year at the club's blues venue at the Tin Hut, Tauherenikau.
Murphy has been called "an icon in the New Zealand music scene" while Speir provides a solid, empathetic backing on rhythm guitar before launching into his own intricate and unique improvisations.
They will be joined by Terry Casey on harmonica. Casey is in constant demand as a sideman and guest for live performances and recording sessions.
The show will be at the the Tin Hut on Wednesday starting at 7.15pm with the guest trio taking the stage around 9.15pm.
