Marist kept on their winning way in PGG Wrightson Wairarapa Bush club rugby on Saturday, knocking over a determined East Coast 20-14 at Memorial Park, Masterton.
Marist notched three tries to East Coast's one, but the boot of Nick Olson kept East Coast in the hunt. Olson kicked three penalties to add to Zeb Aporo's try to keep his side close.
Eketahuna maintained their second place on the ladder with a convincing 34-16 win over Martinborough, while Masterton Red Star retained third place with a hard-fought 31-3 win over Greytown.
